I'm running 8gb of Kingston pc2 ddr2 5300 667mhz ram and the new 2.6.6 bios update. When I first installed my Q6600 GO SLACR chip it booted to windows just fine. Then said downloading updated software. Once it identified the new chip it said must restart now.
So no core 2 quads or anything like that. Why is that if you don't mind explaining it, I've been looking all over and I never find an answer to why this board says it supports lga775 but wont support all of the lga775 cpus i know this socket has been around a long time but i thought if the cpu supports it should work.
